Paul wrote this Epistle to encourage and thank the church at Philippi. They were the early supporters of Paul’s ministry in supplying him materially and financially for his work and imprisonment. He exhorted them to build unity in Christ and to relate with each other in humility by following His example. He shared his own testimony of how he had put Christ above all others in his life to always press forward to victory in Him. This is a most powerful, inspirational and instructive, counsel of the NT.
