The Gospel of LUKE is the longest Gospel. It is written by Luke, the only Gentile writer of a Bible book. His is a researched account of the Life, Words and Works of Jesus Christ our Lord. It offers significant historical details that place the people and events in their historical setting. This Gospel emphasises the humanity of Jesus and His compassion for the less fortunate and outcasts of society. It gives the most detailed account of His birth and contains many teachings and events not in the other Gospels. Luke wrote the Book of Acts to follow what happened after Jesus' ascension into heaven. It is often represented by a human face.
