The Book of Joshua is a joyful account of how Israel entered the Promised Land under the leadership of Joshua, after Moses' death. It was a rare generation that walked in obedience to the LORD; thereby receiving their homeland by His promise. This stands in contrast to most of Israel's OT history of stubborn rebellion against Him. Thus we learn from this generation how to walk in victory against all odds to receive the promises of God; albeit there are errors to avoid too.
