The Book of ISAIAH is a major prophetic book with great insights into the coming Messiah. The prophet, Isaiah, lived when the Northern Kingdom fell to Assyria as God's judgement, but He saved the Southern Kingdom. When Hezekiah, the Southern king sought the LORD, He answered him through Isaiah. His prophecies revealed God’s Word on these events, with great futuristic insights beyond his own time. He foresaw the time of the exile from the Promised Land, to the time of restoration, and beyond. God is the “Holy One of Israel” who judges the sinful but blesses the righteous. There is excellent poetry & significant history. The book is often depicted as the Gospel in the Old Testament.
