The Epistle to the HEBREWS is a master work written by a Jewish Christian teacher who shows us how Christ connects together the Old Testament to the New Testament as one Scripture and revelation. He is the supreme prophet who is the Last Word of God. He is greater than Moses as the new Lawgiver. He is the supreme high priest of the order of Melchizedek, who is superior to the Levitical priesthood. He is the one Sacrifice who is able to take away the sin of the world. He is the author of the New Covenant that replaces the Old. The OT only foreshadows what He does in the NT.
