Bible: 2 CORINTHIANS - NT Pauline Epistles

2 CORINTHIANS is an early epistle of Paul to the church which he had planted at Corinth. It followed a painful letter to discipline and correct members in the church. In this epistle, Paul comforted the church and shared his own pain in having to discipline them. He shared his ministry as an apostle of Christ, facing many attacks and persecution for the sake of Christ, the church in Corinth, and other churches, and how the Lord sustained him. He affirmed his true apostleship against false accusations. We are jars of clay holding treasures of the Kingdom. Christ has given us the ministry of reconciliation. In material things, we are to sow generously that we may reap abundantly from the Lord in all good things.
